Four summers ago, when the girls were born we planted two trees in our garden to commemorate their birth. While we were at the nursery, I also purchased the hydrangea I had been wanting for quite some time. It's blooms were always beautiful but not plentiful enough for me to cut to bring some inside. Finally, there are tons of blooms this year and I have gone a little

Oh the bounty of a happy Hydrangea!
ReplyDeleteLast year, our 4 bushes pumped out just a few paltry blossoms; this year, they are covered with bloom!
I am a happy camper.
Do you dry them also? All you need do is allow the water in the vase to dry up naturally, and let the blossoms sit ... they'll be good all winter, although the color will fade.

ReplyDeleteYour vingnettes look utterly charming!
I love hydrangeas, mine died, I am very sad about it too. Yours are lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful, I'm seriously envious. Those antique pieces of furniture are lovely, too.
ReplyDeleteMy hydrangea is covered this year after being dismal last year as well. Everywhere I go this year the hydrangeas are just gorgeous. I'm thinking I should pick some of the blossoms that are lying close to the ground. A perfect excuse, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYou had me at hydrangea.
