After returning from a week at the cabin, we found our vegetable garden had exploded. We've had a garden for the past eight years but it has never looked like this in early July!
It now looks more like it usually does mid-August. But trust me, I am not complaining.
I wonder why though? Less rain? Hot temperatures? On our ride home just the other day, the temperature on my rear-view mirror said 111 degrees!
I like to think maybe the Gardening Gods are just shining down on us this year.
Here are all the vegetables/fruits we have planted. Sorry for going a little photo crazy, I just love my plants!
Corn
Cucumbers
Grape Tomatoes
Beefsteak Tomatoes
Bell Peppers
Cherry Peppers
Jalepeno Peppers
Squash
Basil
Eggplant
String Beans
Watermelon
How are your gardens growing? I hope you are enoying just as much success as we are this year.

Oooo! Your garden looks amazing! I wish I space to plant some corn - your looks great! I also love gazing at your basil. It's making me crave some pesto...right now!
ReplyDeleteI had to come visit your garden since we both linked up garden posts at Metamorphasis Monday. Yours is so so so great!! I am a beginner and am learning by my mistakes and as I go.:) I have had good luck so far, but I think I need some tips on how to train my cucumber vines..mine are looking like a jungle!!
ReplyDeleteYour vegetables are looking great. You'll be harvesting soon and there's nothing better than home grown veggies...Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a great garden...love those cukes!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have a wonderful harvest. My garden is going slow as we have had lots of rain, much cooler temperatures. I could get discouraged, but I love gardening.
ReplyDeleteI just have to ask...If I had come home to my garden I would have found the weeds to be taller than the corn. So what is your secret?
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful garden. Enjoy the bounty.
Thanks for sharing your bountiful veggie garden. You've helped me answer my question about this vine that's growing in my veggie garden also, which I couldn't remember what it was. I'm visiting from OW. Stop by when you get a chance...my corn stalks are growing like crazy too!

What a great garden. I love all my veggies and my garden is harvesting a lot this year too...especially the tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteWonderful garden. The corn seems to be really tall here too for this time of year. They say "knee high by the 4th of July " and this year it is already at least 7 foot and silk is turning brown. Have a great day. Debbie
ReplyDeleteYour vegetables are beautiful! No garden for us this year - I can't WAIT until next year!
